Proverbs 3:26 (ERV) You can trust the Lord to protect you. He will not let you fall into harm.
Trusting God has become a new buzz word. It is thrown around so loosely that we forget it’s connotation. Anytime we are going through challenging times the first words off the lips of others is normally “Just trust God, it will work out.”
What does it really mean to trust God? I have found in my very own life that trusting God required me to put forth some type of action to show that I believed what God was saying to me. Trusting God required me to stand still at times and knowing with sheer confidence I did not have to be in control. I did not have to come to my own rescue. It assured me that I had help, a reliable source and strength backing me. Proverbs 3:26 here in the Amplified version paints this picture clearly; For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].
I implore you today not to take trusting God lightly. He will always be by your side. He is a source of strength in our times of weakness. He is a shield and a buckler whenever we find ourselves in danger. He is a provider when we are in need. And most of all He loves us with an everlasting love. We can rely on His faithfulness. We can trust His heart towards us.
Father even when my trust in You begins to wane. Remind me of Your faithfulness in my life. In Jesus name Amen
Grace and Peace to you,
Your Breakthrough Coach
You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways. I’m going to do what you tell me to do; don’t ever walk off and leave me.Psalm 119:1-8 MSG
Father, thank you for guiding us with your eyes upon us; even in the uncertainties of our journey may we stay focused on the path you have already positioned us on. Thank you for helping us to avoid the distractions that calls out to us along the way. May we keep our full attention on you. In Jesus ‘name Amen.
Proverbs 16:3 (AMP), Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
This has become one of my go-to-scriptures when I am feeling overwhelmed. It helps me to refocus so that I can see that I am getting in my own way again.
I encourage you today to be content in God’s grace upon your life. Be content in knowing that all you have to do is have faith in Him to help you overcome every challenge you will ever face. Be content in being submitted to His will and not your own. Most of all, be content in gaining victory through His perfection. He is the source of our strength. He is able to refresh us when our strength is gone.
Father, we take so much pride in doing what we know is best. We get lost in our own ability and neglect the help you have freely given. Teach us to value your grace in our everyday life. Teach us to recognize the grace you have given us to accomplish what you have called us to. I pray that every day we will commit our works to you so that you will establish our thoughts. May our eyes be open to the countless rewards that await us when we do it your way and not our own. In Jesus’ name, Amen
“ The Almighty Lord will teach me what to say, so I will know how to encourage weary people. Morning after morning he will wake me to listen like a student.” Isaiah 50:4 “(GW)
Too many people are walking around not knowing what to do or where to turn and we hold the answers within us. No, our lives may not be perfect, but we do serve a perfect God. He knows the plans and the purposes He has set for us. Along the course of our journey we should be willing to make ourselves available when He needs to interrupt our plans. The challenge we are in right now, may hold the key to someone’s victory. That is, if we would take the time to stop murmuring and complaining and learn the lessons.
The Lord would often send others to help encourage and strengthen our hearts in hopes that we would begin to do the same for those that cross our path. Take the time today and pay close attention to that still small voice within. Begin to share a smile, a hug, or just a few kind words with a stranger or a friend and watch their life blossom. You never know whose live you may be saving. That is the power of encouragement.
Nothing in our lives is wasted. Everything that we have encountered has purpose. It helps to remember that we were not created to serve ourselves but to serve those around us. You are the answer to someone else’s dilemma. You are their miracle. Will you make yourself available?
Father, I pray that we will be sensitive to your voice today as we encounter those that need your love. I pray that we will rise above our own needs and problems and begin to see the needs of those around us. May we see with your eyes and hear with your ears today. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)
What are you facing today that has you considering throwing in the towel? Do you not realize the potential that lies on the inside of you! You are destined to defeat what has tried time and time again to defeat you. Fear’s presence should serve as a reminder that your fight is worth winning. Everything in life will never be an easy “win.”
Gird up the loins of your mind. Put your faith into action and fight the good fight of faith. God did not raise you to be a quitter. Remind yourself that you have what it takes to do this. You are well able to complete the task before you. Remember you can do all things through Christ that infuses you with inner strength.
Father, I pray that we will put on the full armor of God today in order to defeat every enemy that rises up against us and in us. Thank you that you have already given us the victory over fear. You have given us power, love, and a sound mind. May we put into action the tools that are readily available unto us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. Psalm 56:11a
Father, I lift up my brothers and sisters that are dealing with fear in the midst of their current circumstances. I thank you that we can faithfully put our trust in you at all times. You will never leave us nor forsake us, even when we don’t understand your plans. Thank you for your unfailing love towards us. May your peace rest, rule and abide with us throughout our day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
