Be Free

You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north. Deuteronomy 2:3 (NLT )

It is time to break free! It is time to move forward.  In order to be free you must let go of what you no longer need.  Stop waiting to exhale. Exhale and forgiveness come from the same Greek word, meaning to get it out of you.  Many of us nurse our past instead of embracing the place that the Lord has brought us to; this keeps us in that place of bondage. We have to break the ties with our past even in our memory.  We have to embrace the responsibility of doing the hard work and changing the way we think. The Lord says remember not the former things, I am going to do a new thing.  HE is doing that new thing. The enemies of our past and the enemy in “me” we will not see any more, if we allow the purging to take place.  We have to learn how to accept and recognize what is normal.

We have to develop an attitude for what is right. For too long, we had the wrong attitudes and mindsets and it has dominated us. Stop struggling with your past and live in your future. Stop trying to solve the problems of yesterday and walk out the solutions that are right before you. Grab a hold to the person you are becoming and learn to live there.  Don’t sabotage what the Lord has for you.  Accept the responsibility to change, in order to fit the person you are becoming.  Embrace the Word of God.   Through our relationship with the Word of God, we are able to be cleansed and receive instructions for our daily living.

My prayer is that we become men and women after God’s heart like David. Inquire of the Lord before making new steps. Seek His will and His direction. Ask Him to purge you and to create within you a clean heart and renew within you the right spirit. Only He knows what is best for you and what will bring you to your place of total freedom.  It is time to cross this Jordan and begin to move into the place of freedom that the Lord has. Be free today, His power, His grace is available to you.

Father, thank you so much for the freedom you have made available to us; each day, I pray we will come closer and closer to walking in that liberty.  I pray that you will teach us how to make the most of every opportunity. I pray that we will be obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit daily and begin to walk out your will for our lives. In Jesus name Amen.
