Father, I pray we will turn and give heed to your reproof so that you may pour out your spirit upon us. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon us–the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord– Lord make us of quick understanding, and may our delight be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And may we not judge by the sight of our eyes, neither decide by the hearing of our ears; But with righteousness and justice and shall decide with fairness.
For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant us a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him. By having the eyes of our heart flooded with light, so that we can know and understand the hope to which He has called us, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), And so that we can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength; Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places].
Father, I thank you that you will complete the work that you began in us even to the day of Your return. Work in us the will and the pleasure to do Your good will. In Jesus name Amen
