Don’t let your dream die

Standard
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 (NLT)
dream

I want to speak to those of you that have stopped dreaming. You have had setbacks. You have encountered disappointment. You have been told it won’t work.

I say to you DREAM AGAIN! There is still hope for YOU! Yes, there is still time for YOU to make it happen. It starts with YOU believing in what God has already given YOU. He planted the dream in your heart. God is so faithful to help YOU carry out every aspect of that dream.

Have you submitted your dream to Him?
Will you allow that dream to die, so that God can resurrect it?

Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it will not grow. Take a moment and surrender your thoughts about how it is supposed to be. Surrender control over every aspect of that dream. Give God permission to work in YOU His plan and purpose for your dream. You are apart of a greater plan.

That dream YOU have, once it is released, will begin to transform the lives of others. The world awaits what God has placed in you. It’s time to GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO DREAM AGAIN!

Father, revive the hearts of those that have stopped dreaming because of disappointments and set backs. Restore to them the vigor they once had about the plan and the purposes you have already established in their hearts. May they be strengthened in their inner man to await the promise of fruition. Even as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:11, you have made all things beautiful in its time. I thank you for restoration of hope even now. In Jesus name Amen

Mary

Is Your Attitude Ruining Your Relationships?

Standard

“Let your gentle spirit be made known to all men.” Philippians 4:5 (NASB)

file (2).jpeg

We live in a society that is filled with hurting people, many of whom go unnoticed on a regular basis. Have you stopped to take notice of the people around you?

We often get so consumed with meeting the next deadline, competing for the next promotion, or running to our next obligation, that we lose sight of how we treat the people around us. Sadly, our busyness can lead to harshness, critical attitudes, frustration, or just being overwhelmed to the point that we treat the ones we love unfairly.

How many of your relationships are strained because you need to make an attitude adjustment this very moment? It’s time to push pause. Take a deep breath and release the weight of what you have been carrying. Remember, as a born again believer, you have been called to be a light to those around you. People are taking note of your every move. You are to exhibit Christ’s nature that is within. I know we all have our days… but ultimately, Jesus should be seen, not us.

I encourage you today to put on gentleness, even in the midst of those moments of frustration. Slow down and begin to pay attention to what really matters. It is not the to-do lists that are waiting to be tackled. It is the people connected to you. Let gentleness go before you today. The things you accomplish will mean very little if you have no one to share them with.

Father, help us to be mindful today of our attitudes. Help us to pay close attention to the ones we hurt because we are not paying attention to the little things. May our words and our mannerisms be seasoned with grace. May we pause to take time to commune with You in order to receive the love that we need to share with those around us. Lord, let Your love flow through us like never before. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Take Action: Develop a new habit of taking a deep breath the next time you are ready to lose your cool. Stop and whisper a prayer for God to help you remain calm and to allow His fruit to work in your everyday life.

Shalom,

Mary

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11 AMPC

image1 What happed to your confidence? You were once so sure of yourself. You used to give your all to anything you put your hands to. What stopped you? When did you embrace intimidation?

You have never been one to let go of a challenge. Why now do you just lay it all down? Why now do you give into fear? Why do you hang your head low?

Come on. You can do it! That battle that you are facing has already been won. That enemy that seems to defeat you every time is not as strong as you are. YOU got this!

Come on. Give it one more try. Give it your all. There is a fighter on the inside of you. There is still a fire in the basement; don’t quit now. Refuse to settle for less than your best. God has already given you everything you need that pertains to life and Godliness.  All you have to do now is pull yourself up by the bootstraps, hold your head up high, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

YOU ARE NOT A QUITTER. Winning is in your DNA. Before you were born you were destined for greatness. Don’t stop now. I need you. We all need you to be who God has called you to be. That’s it, get up and take your rightful place.

God has already redeemed the time for you. He is right there with you, cheering you on. Can’t you hear Him now; You can do it My child.  I believe in you. I just need you to believe in yourself. You are already victorious through My righteous right hand. I destined you to win.

Every battle won’t be easy, but the struggles you face will be worth it. They are present to strengthen your resolve; to teach and train your hands to war. There is a fighter in you. Fight until you see victory. Fight on, knowing you are never alone.

I’m here. I’m right here my child. Get up and take your rightful place. Your end is not yet. There is so much more I have in store for you. Don’t settle, you can win this race. You can fight on in faith. I believe in you. Just take My hand and trust My plan. Get up now My child, get up and take your rightful place.

Lord, I come to you on behalf of my brothers and sisters that have been contemplating giving up. I ask that you will infuse them with inner strength. Grant them the grace needed to keep going. I ask that you minister hope and peace to their mind at this very moment. Move them from the place of fear to hope and confident trust in You. Show yourself strong on their behalf, I pray. In Jesus name Amen

Grace and peace be unto you,

You Are Enough…

greatness

You are enough. You are good enough.

You are valuable. You have what it takes to succeed.

God values you. He made you unique, special, one of a kind.

There is no other that can offer what you have.

You have purpose. You are filled with potential.

You are a child of the most High God.

Your worth and value lies in your Creator, not in your size.

It’s not in your finances. It is not in your relationships. It is not in your looks.

Your confidence comes from knowing who you are in Him and who He has created you to be.

You are enough. Nothing anyone else can say or do, changes that.

God has established it in His eternal purpose for you.

What He placed in you is needed by others here in the earth.

Take heart today knowing He has fashioned you for such a time as this.

Everything God does exhibits greatness. That includes you.

Grace and Peace,

Mary

Fight Back

Standard

Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. Psalm 144:1 NLT

war

Every day you will face challenges that try to move you away from God’s plan and purpose for your lives. You will be tempted to act out of character. You will be tempted to give in to the pride of your own hearts; relying on yourselves rather than fully relying on God.  Unfortunately, all of these decisions will put you in a position to lose the battle.

If you are to see victory over the obstacles you are currently facing, it will take you learning the battle strategy from the one who knows best. God has strategic weapons to dismantle every attack of the enemy. We find this true throughout the Old Testament readings.

Joshua won the battle of Jericho by marching around the city 7 times, then releasing a loud shout. Gideon was told he had too many men for the battle. He was then instructed to take 300 men with him. As they went blowing their trumpets, the Lord confused the opposing army and they began to fight themselves.  Jehosophat was told by the Prophet of the Lord, you will not have to fight in this battle, the Lord will fight for you. They proceeded to battle worshipping their God and the other army began to destroy themselves.

As you can see from these accounts, God does not fight like we fight. His weapons are much greater than ours. They are weapons of mass destruction; tearing down every stronghold, piercing between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Today, instead of cowering down to the enemy of doubt, fear and insecurity. Instead of giving into the temptation to quit. Instead of allowing the whispers of the naysayers stop you in your tracks, I encourage you to fight back! You must stand and gird yourself with the full armor of God. Endure hardness as a good soldier and see those very obstacles demolished in your path.

When you allow God to be your defense, your strong tower, He can perfect all things that concern you.  After all, He has already equipped you with the weapons that work; prayer, worship, and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God.

Do your battle on your knees today. Do your battle in worship. God will fight for you.

Father, thank You for teaching our hands to war. Too often, we fight from a place of our own strength not fully relying on, leaning into, and trusting You.  As we begin to change course, thank You for Your patience with us. Thank You for your power being made perfect in our times of weaknesses. May we look to You when we are weak to help us win the victory in every area of our lives. In Jesus name Amen.

Shalom,

Mary

Be A Gardner

Standard

prayer

Here is another story Jesus told: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. 25 But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. 26 When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. 27 “The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’ 28 “‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed. “‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked. 29 “‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn. Matthew 13:24-30 (NLT)

There comes a time on our journey that we must begin to take notice of what is growing in our lives. Much like the parable mentioned above, we must be keen enough to recognize the distractions that come our way to keep us from producing the harvest of discipline we seek.

Jesus tells this story to his disciples in order to paint a picture of the kingdom of God. In the example we find a war between two worlds. On one hand, the sower who represents God planting good seeds. On the other hand, there is Satan, the enemy sowing tares among the wheat.

Take a moment and think about how often you experienced God working in your life. Everything you set out to do was going according to plan, then all of a sudden here comes opposition to set you off course. Because of human nature, we panic and want to let it all go.  However, Jesus shows what an experienced gardener does when faced with unfavorable circumstances.

First of all, He recognizes it is an enemy that did this. He recognizes the attack came because of what He was doing. He recognized that the attack was on the harvest. It was the keenness of the gardener that led to the decision to let the tares grow with the wheat.

He explained to his workers that at the time of the harvest the separation would take place. Instead of destroying the integrity of the future harvest, He paid close attention to it, recognizing what was more important. We should do the same when it comes to our lives. Rather than giving up when we encounter challenges, or reacting too quickly, we need to take inventory of what we are dealing with. We can’t allow what others think we should do to influence our decisions. We need to be led by the Lord.

You must be mindful not to allow the tactics of the enemy to get you so overwhelmed that you lose sight of the progress you have made. This is not the time to get distracted. This is not the time to allow yourself to go off course. Maintain your focus.

The harvest you have been working towards will produce good in your life, but in that time you may have to go back and do some separating. Whatever weeds or distractions, you have allowed to come into your live through relationships, bad habits, character issues, etc. will now have to be addressed.

If you continue to allow these issues to grow they will only take over in your time of harvest. Be like that experienced gardener protect your harvest through wisdom, knowledge and understanding about the situation at hand. In order to do that, it will take much prayer and fellowship with the Father. He knows what is best, trust His guidance.

Blessings to you,

Mary

You Can Do It

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:10  (AMP)

Don’t give up on yourself. Don’t you dare throw in the towel when you are challenged and feeling insecure. You are well ABLE to accomplish what you set out to do today! Be firm and dig deeper. There is a gold mine on the inside of you. If you never value who you are and what you have, no one else will.

Keep pushing yourself to be your best. God has already deposited in you everything you need  and the ability to do it with a good attitude. Keep it moving! You will get there if you do not faint.

Jesus, let your strength be our strength when live becomes overwhelming. We need the courage, boldness, the stability You possess to keep moving forward. Thank you for loving us with an everlasting love. Thank you for seeing the best in us when we fail to see our own potential. It is only by Your grace that we can continue moving forward. Refresh us now, refill us now. In Jesus name, Amen.
