What On Earth Am I Here For?

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV

Born knowing He would die for the sin of mankind, that was the assignment given to Jesus. His life was already mapped out for Him before the foundations of this world were formed.  He knew that the sin of mankind would be placed on His shoulders. He knew He would be beaten and bruised for our transgressions and the chastisement of our peace would be placed upon Him.  His destiny was to lay down His life for a people of whom, many would reject Him.
Jesus was motivated by the joy of seeing us reconnected to God. His purpose was evident in His words as well as His actions.   Even though He struggled in the Garden of Gethsemane, He chose to keep going in spite of the pain that was on the horizon. His unselfish act kept Him focused on the end result. We can take lessons from the life of Jesus.
Just as Jesus was born with a purpose, so were you and I. God set eternity in our hearts from the moment we got here. He knew we would need something to keep driving us forward. When we take our eyes off what we think and feel and focus on those God has called us to reach, it should motivate us to keep moving forward as well. It is my prayer that the life of Jesus will bring comfort and hope to you as you continue towards your God-given purpose.  If you are struggling with what that purpose is today; take a moment and ask God to reveal to you His plan for your life.
Lord we want to take this time to thank you for the birth of your Son Jesus. Thank you for allowing Him to walk upon the Earth and be the example for us. May His attitude towards pleasing you and serving the purpose for which He came become our very own. In Jesus name, Amen.

Grace and Peace to you,

You got this!

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. Luke 5:4‭-‬6 NKJV

Lord,  help us to walk out the path that You have given us with a spirit of boldness and tenacity knowing that you will not let us fall. You have called us to walk by faith and not by what we see. Help us I pray, to move forward trusting in who we are and what You have placed in us. In Jesus name, Amen.

Passionate pursuit

Passion is significant fuel that helps you persevere despite obstacles,  fear, and discouragement.  If you are passionate about a goal,  you can tap into that passion as a source of energy that will see you through to the finish line.  Valorie Burton, Why Not You?

Prayer: Lord,  may our passion be seen and not just heard as we runderstand towards completing what we have started.  May we be ever present in our everyday lives,  working and pursuing what you have placed on our hearts. In Jesus name,  we pray Amen.

Grace and Peace,

What’s driving you this year?

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12‭-‬14 NIV

When we identify  the reason for our fight for a better life it pushes us to work even harder.

My challenge for you this week is to focus in on why you are here. Pay attention to how accomplishing your goals for this year will not only enhance your life but the lives of others.

Father, help us to identify our reason for being here. Help us to identify our place of significance.  Empower us to move forward even when times are challenging,  knowing that we are in good company like Jesus.

Grace and Peace be upon you!

Don’t let your dream die

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 (NLT)

I want to speak to those of you that have stopped dreaming. You have had setbacks. You have encountered disappointment. You have been told it won’t work.

I say to you DREAM AGAIN! There is still hope for YOU! Yes, there is still time for YOU to make it happen. It starts with YOU believing in what God has already given YOU. He planted the dream in your heart. God is so faithful to help YOU carry out every aspect of that dream.

Have you submitted your dream to Him?
Will you allow that dream to die, so that God can resurrect it?

Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it will not grow. Take a moment and surrender your thoughts about how it is supposed to be. Surrender control over every aspect of that dream. Give God permission to work in YOU His plan and purpose for your dream. You are apart of a greater plan.

That dream YOU have, once it is released, will begin to transform the lives of others. The world awaits what God has placed in you. It’s time to GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO DREAM AGAIN!

Father, revive the hearts of those that have stopped dreaming because of disappointments and set backs. Restore to them the vigor they once had about the plan and the purposes you have already established in their hearts. May they be strengthened in their inner man to await the promise of fruition. Even as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:11, you have made all things beautiful in its time. I thank you for restoration of hope even now. In Jesus name Amen

You Are Enough…

You are enough. You are good enough.

You are valuable. You have what it takes to succeed.

God values you. He made you unique, special, one of a kind.

There is no other that can offer what you have.

You have purpose. You are filled with potential.

You are a child of the most High God.

Your worth and value lies in your Creator, not in your size.

It’s not in your finances. It is not in your relationships. It is not in your looks.

Your confidence comes from knowing who you are in Him and who He has created you to be.

You are enough. Nothing anyone else can say or do, changes that.

God has established it in His eternal purpose for you.

What He placed in you is needed by others here in the earth.

Take heart today knowing He has fashioned you for such a time as this.

Everything God does exhibits greatness. That includes you.

Grace and Peace,

Write The Vision

Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18 (NASB)

Vision is defined as something seen or otherwise perceived. It is the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be; a prophetic vision. Vision is the missing ingredient from many of our lives today. Many of us are living life carelessly, without aim or proper guidance.  We cast off all restraints and run wild because we have no vision for our future.

This state of mind is an enemy to a life of discipline. When we have no clue about what is before us, we are prone to falter along the way.  Vision helps to create a proper playing field for us along the course of our journey.  It helps to set up restraints to keep us in bound when it comes to reaching our goals. A person with vision has an understanding that everything is not profitable when it comes to staying on task. There are no cutting corners involved; only following the blue print that is outlined will get you to your desired end.

God instructed Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain. So others may see it and run with it. (Habakkuk 2:2). Have you taken the time to pursue God about the vision for your life? Remember, He has every day of our lives recorded in His book. He knows the thoughts and the plans that He has for us. Those thoughts are to give us a future and a hope. He already established our expected end, before we were even a thought.

Run to Him today and seek out His plans for your life. Now is not the time to make haphazard decisions about your future. Be a visionary. Begin to focus on the vision God has already created for your life. It is then that you will be able to gather the proper instructions, the guidance and the grace to move forward and accomplish your goals.

Father, you created each of us with a built in purpose and design. Forgive us for not coming to you daily to seek out the blueprint for our lives. Today, we ask that you impart within us all the vision that you have for our lives. Allow us a glimpse of your intended purpose for our lives. As you do, I pray that we will begin to run with the vision You have provided and forsake what we have created for ourselves. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
