Praying for Guidance?

The LORD directs the steps of the godly.  He delights in every detail of their lives. Psalm 37:23 (NLT)

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. 106I took an oath, and I will keep it.    I took an oath to follow your regulations, which are based on your righteousness.  Psalm 119:105-106  (GW)

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)

I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.  9Be not like the horse or the mule, which lack understanding, which must have their mouths held firm with bit and bridle, or else they will not come with you. Psalm 32:8-9(AMP)

Father, in Jesus name, I thank you for your direction.  Thank you that you are aware of the plans that you have for me, plans to do me good all the days of my life, not to do me evil, but to give me an expected end. I pray that I will not lean upon my own understanding but acknowledge you in all my ways. I ask that you will guide me and counsel me with your eyes upon me. I pray that my heart will be attentive to your voice. I pray that you will awaken my ears to hear you. Lead me in the way of righteousness for your name sake. Make me of quick understanding. May I not judge by sight of my eyes or by hearing of my ears, but with righteousness and justice and decide with all fairness.  I pray that you will not let me wander or step aside either in ignorance or willfully from your commandments or the plan that you have for me. Thank you for keeping me and perfecting all things that  concern me. Thank you for completing the work that you have begun in me, even until the day of your return. In Jesus name. Amen.

Grace and Peace be upon you,

Mary
